Faded rose prints cover ribbed velvet in DEKOMA’s Roseto collection

DEKOMA’s Roseto collection comprises two knitted velvets with a ribbed surface: the floral-print Roseto and its plain companion, Fieno. Both can be used for upholstery, decorative textiles and curtains. Traditional rose motifs, muted colours and an aged finish give the collection an autumnal character.

Rose patterns with a faded finish

The collection’s nostalgic appearance comes from combining a traditional rose print with an unexpected palette and treatments that make the fabric look aged. Fine ribs recall vintage corduroy, the muted colours appear faded by sunlight, and Roseto’s printed pattern blurs in places as its outlines lose definition.

The result recalls historic palace interiors as well as boho chic. Roseto and Fieno are both very soft and pleasant to touch, lending a sense of cosiness to a room. A water-repellent finish also makes them practical for everyday use.

These varied references offer interior decorators several possibilities. The fabrics can lend visual lightness to period-style furniture and antiques, or a touch of hippie bohemian character to a contemporary room. Combining patterned Roseto with plain Fieno produces a more harmonious, elegant effect and emphasises a chosen colour palette. Both also suit richly furnished, eclectic interiors with gilding, brass details and decorative trimmings.

Five colourways for a garden-inspired print

Roseto’s elaborate floral print shows roses in full bloom among leaves, buds and other garden flowers. The composition suggests carnations, bindweed, poppies and sprigs of lilac. An autumnal palette tempers the abundance of the summer flowers.

The fabric comes in five colourways, incorporating pink, beige, pastel blue, blue, gold, light grey, olive green and navy. The scale and richness of the pattern make it most effective on a single element in a room, whether a sofa or armchair, window curtains or cushion covers.

Fieno provides a plain companion

Fieno can accompany Roseto or be used independently. It comes in seven colours: cream, beige, sand, gold, pink, warm brown and cool brown. Its ribbed surface requires care when planning how to position the fabric on upholstered furniture to achieve a considered finish.
